Nafeeshathul Riyaj-Ahamed, MD

Dr. Nafeeshathul Riyaj-Ahamed is a newly transplanted Texan who has fallen in love with Oregon. She did her undergraduate studies at UT Austin, majoring in Cultural Anthropology through the liberal arts honors program, and was treasurer of the Austin State Psychiatric volunteer program for two years. She went to Texas A&M for medical school, where she spent three years on the medical school admissions committee, honored her OBGYN rotation, and became the OBGYN course liaison. She excelled in her residency at UTMB Galveston, earning the Minimally Invasive Surgeon of the Year, SASGOG academic generalist of the year, and placing second at the Galveston OBGYN research fair for her creation of a 3D dynamic model of vaginal prolapse. She takes special interest in high risk pregnancies, infertility, and incontinence.

She is active in the community as the current president of the Klamath County Medical Society. In her free time she likes spending time with her sons and husband, reading fantasy novels, and finding new restaurants to try.
